Consultation notes

Advice from consulting with Christa
A few things that are needed that must be added to the list of deliverables:
Create a brochure to give to businesses to ask if they wish to be a part if the Melville’s Temporary Contemporary. These brochures should be cheap and viable; finding a sponsor would be great, Postnet sponsored the printing of the A3 maps last year.
Add web addresses and phone numbers to the Temporary Contemporary website of all restaurants and shops involved in exhibiting work.
A bio is needed for each artist (to be placed on the map as well as their exhibition space).

Ideas to ask Sally about:
Creating a new logo every year for the Melville’s Temporary Contemporary, which could perhaps be linked to a theme for every year.
When buying the map, perhaps people can also buy a biodegradable or canvas bag with the Melville’s Temporary Contemporary logo printed on it.

Things yet to be researched:
Other “contemporary” galleries
Pop-up galleries

Finding inspiration for a logo:
The idea of “temporary”, this can inspire hand drawn type as well as a collage font with many individual letters from different fonts used to create a new font. Perhaps bringing illustration into the font is another way to go.
Here's a mood-board of awesome bits of type that I found in some old magazines.
