Melville Koppies

After visiting the Melville Koppies for a hike I realised just how unfit I am. The biggest upside would be the most amazing 360˚ view of Johannesburg!

View of the cemetery and western horizon.

view of the north east with Sandton on he far left of the image and Cari Williamson (classmate) and Christa Van Zyl (lecturer) on the far right.

I am certainly not a nature child, so I didn't enjoy the hike as much as some of my other class mates but I did enjoy the beauty of the area (maybe more so after the hike while looking through my photos). Perhaps I’d have enjoyed the hike more if we were traveling at a slower pace so we would have had more time to take photos and enjoy the fauna. By the time we arrived at the educational area, where our guides showed us interesting artefacts from thousands of years ago, I was completely exhausted so I didn't take any more photos (which I wish I had)

Even though my experience with the Koppies wasn't the best one, I would love to revisit it with more time and more space on my SD card for more photos!
